Our GTA West Community

Your community is more than just where you buy your home. It’s where families thrive, favourite spots are discovered, and memories are made. To help you find the right community, we thought we’d share some insights into the GTA West areas we know and love.

Oakville

Oakville is a prestigious waterfront community with a small-town feel. With a charming downtown, internationally-recognized schools, and active residents, Oakville has become a very sought-after place to live.

There are amazing trail systems throughout the area and an abundance of parks, including Bronte Creek, Coronation Park, and Gairloch Gardens. Make a visit to Bronte Harbour for a taste of lakeside living, or spend some time at Glen Abbey Golf Club, home of the Canadian Open.

Oakville has some of the best public, Catholic, and independent schools in the GTA, including Sheridan College, one of the top animation schools in the world. Oakville’s real estate has had the best inflation rate in the GTA over the last 30 years and its residents have the highest income per capita.

Mississauga

Mississauga is more than a sprawling urban landscape — it’s a truly multicultural area with plenty of unique communities to explore.

Mississauga is especially ideal for commuters. It not only has cross-city transportation and access to GO Transit, but it’s close to Pearson International Airport as well. By 2024, it will also have an LRT system that will service Hurontario-Burnhamthorpe to Brampton.

With so much to do in the city, you’ll hardly ever need to leave! There are several golf courses and sports facilities, as well as the Art Gallery of Mississauga and the Living Arts Centre. Take a shopping trip to Square One, or if you’re craving a day outside, hit the beautiful trails throughout the Rattray Marsh Conservation Area.

Mississauga is a large corporate hub — sixty of the Fortune 500 companies have their Canadian head offices here. It’s also home to several highly-rated schools, including Cawthra Parks Secondary School (known for its Regional Arts Program), University of Toronto Mississauga, and Sheridan College’s Hazel McCallion Campus.
